Isaac E. Young Middle School Principal Announces Administration and Staff Changes for September 2010

Mr. Anthony Bongo, Principal of Isaac E. Young Middle School, made several announcements of changes in administration and staff for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year. Please read e-mail below for details.

Hi All, I hope the summer has been enjoyable and prosperous for you. I wanted to let you know that Jose Martinez has accepted the position of Assistant Principal at Jefferson School. Congratulations, Jose. We wish him well. The position of Administrative Dean with be posted in the New York Times and OLAS this coming week. Any requests for that position will be directed to Margaret Pecunia via City Hall and/or OLAS online applications. This is an admistrative position that requies NYS SAS certification. The specific outline requirements will be presented through the personnel office. Also, I will be searching for a FACILITATOR for this year’s 21st CENTURY after school program. This is a school based position and will be searched for, and chosen through my office. The requirements include Teacher/Guidance/Clinical certification and SAS is preferred as well. It wil be a position requiring leadership for work until 5:30 pm and will be most likely be scheduled on a four day(weekly) basis. (This is a complex and evolving position that will be explained in detail at the time of interveiw.) Anyone intersted should call Debbie Ferrara to schedule an appointment with me. Finally, SPECIAL EDUCATION STAFF ONLY….I am also pleased to announce that Linda Generoso has accpeted a positon as the Asst. Diretor of SPED for Middle Schools. Congrats, Linda. I will be seeking a SPED FACILITATOR for IEY, which will feature a reduced teaching load, and signficnat SPED clerical and process duties. Again, this will be done through my office, and any SPED teachers (SAS preferred) who may be intersted please contact Debbie Ferrara to arrange an interview. I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you in September.
