Christmas morning, sitting around the tree with the family. I can’t imagine a better place to be. Wide eyed children, shredded wrapping paper flying through the air, all laughter and smiles. To my friends old and new, family and neighbors, I’m hoping you all experience the same magic I see in my children’s eyes on Christmas morning. Albeit my good fortune stands in contrast to those who serve this country, far from home during the holidays. A Christmas wish for peace and the best gift of all, Christmas morning around the tree when you get home.

He is the kind of citizen we need more of; someone who I suspect has seen the worst the world has to offer and comes home to make a positive difference.
