It is my understanding that a new commissioner of development will be announced shortly. Sources identify two finalists; one candidate with a background in development and former City Manager Charlene Indelacato. Ms. Indelacato is also former corporation council for the City of New Rochelle and the County of Westchester. Should Ms. Indelacato receive the appointment it would be open to discussion in that there was a question as to Costco receiving park land from D’Nofrio field under her tenure as city manager. I would also think that City Manager Chuck Strome would be in an atypical situation in that his former boss would now become his employee.

Eye on new roc- are you kidding me! What experince does she have in development? I thought new Ro was in a hiring freeze there is no development going on right now hold this position open for 6 months . This city is not going forward we are going backwards. This girl just got the boot from the county . Why are we the city of new Rochelle thinking about hiring her? It makes no sence.
same ol song
New Ro, for it’s size, makes Yonkers crooks look like pikers.
The same Charlene named in a federal lawsuit ? Call the mayor
Could this be the same Ms Indelecato being sued in federal court for what appears to be bias charges?
See the New York Post story here.
Just wondering how this will be a positive thing for New Rochelle . We should let the mayor know so he’s not taken by surprise.
Development Commissioner
Same old names, same old faces. City Hall sure takes care of their own.
Now if they could only learn to take care of their employees and residents, it might be a better place to live.
