Jim Killorin of Habitat for Humanity Westchester will be was on the 5 o’Clock news on Channel 12 today to talk about his relief mission to Haiti and his efforts in helping to support the local Haitian community in New Rochelle.
Jim tells me that he is researching to find a home for Habitat to be able to help bring some of the orphans here to New Rochelle.
Jim learned last night that 50 habitat staff alive there in Haiti.
United Taxi is a Haitian-owned business so if you get in a United Taxi cab in the coming days be aware of that.
Jim is looking for someone to donate the use of a house in the area, he is planning to head down to Haiti soon. The American Legion is making their hall in New Rochelle available as a receiving point for donations.
