Sources tell Talk of the Sound there was a stabbing incident at a house at 203 Kensington Oval at the victim, Dr. Robert Dyson, 83, is clinging to life at Sound Shore Medical Center. Channel 12 News was on the scene this morning interviewing neighbors.
Initial reports indicate it was a domestic dispute that took place around 10 PM last night. Dr. Robert Dyson of Einstein Hospital in the Bronx was allegedly stabbed by his wife Romola “Rose” Dyson but reports are still sketchy. Dyson is currently at Sound Shore Medical Center where he is “clinging to life”, sources say.
UPDATE: Channel 12 News at Noon did not identify the victim or suspect, but did say the victim had surgery and is in stable but guarded condition, that he was stabbed with a Swiss Army knife, that police have interviewed the wife, that she was the only one home, but that she has not been charged (we updated our headline accordingly).
A neighbor went on camera to say she was shocked because it is a quiet neighborhood. Apparently this woman is not paying much attention to what goes in her neighborhood. Last April, the FBI showed up at 57 Kensington Oval just down the street from the Dyson’s house to arrest Anthony Piliero who was charged with atttempting to hire a mafia hitman to kill his former business partner for insurance money.
