Congrats to NR Talk Congrats to New Rochelle Talk & Bob Cox. Whether you agree or disagree with Bob or any of the bloggers who participate no one will dispute the value of a public place to express and exchange opinions and ideas on how to make New Rochelle a better community. The only thing lacking is the participation of elected officials, city personnel and the Board of Education. Most officials avoid public interaction preferring the comfort of controlled circumstances with prepared statements. They are afraid to deal with the public on a level playing field that’s why blogs have become so popular and important.
Keep up the good work Bob and here’s to all the bloggers for many years of interesting dialogue.

Thanks Folks! It was fun to watch the counter roll over from 199,999 to 200,000.
Our 200,000th visitor hit the site at 5:27 PM. They were on an older desktop computer running WindowsXP, most likely in an office located at 20 W. 55th Street in Manhattan. The computer is connected to the Internet via the Verizon Network and they use Internet Explorer 8.0 as their web browser.

Well Done New Rochelle!
Congratulations to Bob and #200,000. This is a real “vote of confidence” by the city of New Rochelle for a website that has actually changed the city for the better. By connecting people and fostering the exchange of ideas through open dialogue, this citizen participation is helping shape the city. Win /win for all involved. (Don’t forget to change the 100,000 on the banner).Bob, how long did it take to get to 100,000 and then to 200,000?
In February 2009 we got about 4,000 visitors. In February 2010 we got about 16,000 visitors so our monthly year-on-year traffic is up about 400%.
Congratulations on Reaching 200,000 Hits Today Congratulations Robert Cox on reaching 200,000 hits on the Talk of the Sound blog today. Your blog is now the first place most people come to for all the latest news and articles of interest. It is also a sounding board for people to voice their opinions, praises, and criticisms that is not readily available elsewhere. Thank you and keep up the good work.
