Pro Bowl running back Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens will be among the honorees at the March 25 New Rochelle Fund for Educational Excellence Gala at the Fountainhead in New Rochelle.
Rice, a 2005 New Rochelle High School graduate, helped the Huguenots capture the state championship in 2004 before moving on to a stellar career at Rutgers University and then joining the Ravens. Rice, who frequently visits the New Rochelle schools and whose mother works in the city school system, will receive the Community Spirit award.
Joining Rice as honorees will be Christopher Edley Jr., NRHS ’70, the dean of Berkeley Law School; Frank V. Miceli of Sammarco Stone and Supply, Inc.; and Meredith Adler Hilton, NRHS ‘72, chairwoman of the New Rochelle Fund for Educational Excellence.
