Yankee third baseman Alex Rodriguez picked up a ground ball hit sharply by Kurt Suzuki of the Oakland A’s, stepped on third base, turned and threw to Robinson Cano at second base who made a perfect pivot and throw to Nick Johnson at first base to complete a rare and extremely difficult 5-4-3 triple play.
