New Rochelle City Manager Chuck Strome’s Brush with Death

Written By: Robert Cox

Windy New Ro6.jpgNew Rochelle City Manager Chuck Strome was involved in a serious incident while driving his City-owned vehicle in New Rochelle.

Strome was driving his child to school on Quaker Ridge Road Monday near the Cosi’s restaurant when a large tree limb fell on the car. Neither Strome or his child was seriously hurt but the force was enough to badly damage the vehicle.

  1. Why are city vehicles used
Why are city vehicles used for personal reasons? I know, “they’re always on call”, right?
    What a joke.

  2. chuck strome
what was the city manager doing taking his son to school in a city car in the first place. More city tax money hard at work. Maybe I can borrow that car some day to run my errands.

  3. Glad you’re OK
Mr. Strome, glad you and you’re child are OK. Take care and God bless you both.

  4. Glad everyone’s ok!
Chuck it just wasn’t your time. You were meant to be along side other Mets fans (like me) to suffer. Glad to hear everyone’s ok!

  5. Glad to hear that everyone is safe
Maybe this is not the appropriate forum for this, but after the March storm and incidents like this, it makes me wonder if we really should be so enthusiastic about planting an additional 10,000 trees throughout the City as per the Sustainability plan.

Mr. Strome I am glad that you and your child are safe.
