Summer Movie Madness Glen Island Park in New Rochelle Kicks Off with “The Blind Side” on July 28th

New Rochelle, NY – “Summer Movie Madness” takes over Glen Island Park in New Rochelle with a showing of the Academy Award-winning film The Blind Side (2009 – PG-13) on Wednesday, July 28.

This after-hours party offers an evening of fun for the family with an old-fashioned beach party with an all-you-can-eat barbecue and a hit movie outdoors at dusk.

The party begins at 7 p.m.; the barbecue runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; the movie begins at sundown. Bring blankets and chairs for seating. No swimming is permitted during the party.

Admission is $15 per person, free for children under the age of 3. A Westchester County Park Pass is not required for admission to the party. Admission wristbands go on sale the day of the event and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.

The Blind Side features actor Sandra Bullock in her Academy Award-winning role as a caring woman who helps a homeless and traumatized boy become an All American football player and first round NFL draft pick. Running time for the movie is 129 minutes.

“Summer Movie Madness” continues with a showing of Coraline (2009 – PG) on Tuesday, August 3, at Willson’s Waves Pool in Mount Vernon; and Monsters vs. Aliens (2009 – PG) on Tuesday, August 10, at Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains.
