U-Hauls Stored in Neighborhoods

Written By: Talk of the Sound News

Recently there have been up to four U-Haul trucks parked in my neighborhood. After a short lull, they are back. On every day and night we have at least one parked on our street. Two have Arizona plates. Today there were two parked all day. They are still there now at 10pm at night. I called the police non-emergency line at 654-2300 and they said they would send someone to mark the tires. Then four hours later they will give them a ticket.

I have not yet seen a ticket on one of the U-Hauls, though I have called them in regularly. I will update this post tomorrow and report back whether these got tickets or not. Also, there was a taxi for the better part of the day up the block.

This is street storage of a commercial vehicles and should not be allowed. These vehicles are not actively engaged in local business. No one has been moving in or out of the houses on my block during the last few weeks.

This one is labeled BE2141C.

This one is labeled TM1923K.

Here is a taxi that was parked for most of the day near Dunkin Donuts.

**** UPDATE ****
It is 9:45am. There are no chalk marks or tickets on any of these vehicles. I just called them in again. She said she would send someone out.

**** UPDATE #2 ****
At 11:45 the truck was gone. The van and taxi were still there with no tickets on them. Today (Sunday) there are no U-Hauls in the neighborhood. One taxi is still parked on the street.
