Verni Family Restores the Verni Center Courtyard at Iona Prep

Verni Center.jpgOver the summer, the Verni family helped restore the courtyard outside the Paul Verni Fine Arts Center. Although the building was only built in 1986, the outside courtyard had become damaged from weather over the last several years. Now the Verni Center is as beautiful as ever. The ground on the courtyard was repaved, benches were built and many trees and flowers were planted.

NOTE: The Paul Verni Fine Arts Center is named for Paul Verni, my classmate at the Prep. We graduated together in 1981. Paul passed before graduating from college. He was a great guy and is missed by his friends in the class of ’81.
