Jim Maisano, candidate for New York State Supreme Court Justice, has won the official endorsements of several important law enforcement groups. The Affiliated Police Associations of Westchester, the Police Association of New Rochelle, and the Westchester County Police Benevolent Association (PBA) have all given their backing to Jim Maisano, citing his longstanding record of leadership on law enforcement issues and commitment to dispensing fair and impartial justice. They join the growing list of organizations and community leaders who have announced their support of Maisano. He was previously endorsed by the Westchester Hispanic Law Enforcement Association.

Robert Caralyus, President of the Affiliated Police Associations of Westchester said that the organization’s selection of Maisano was an easy one to make. “Jim Maisano’s record — as an attorney, a United States Marine veteran, and as a leader for over 13 years in the Westchester County Legislature — is the experience we need on the bench.” Caralyus continued, “Jim has been the right kind of leader in Westchester and he’ll be the right kind of judge – smart, hardworking, and just.”

Eddie Hayes, President of the Police Association of New Rochelle, concurred. “We’ve known and worked with Jim Maisano for many years, both as our city’s representative to the County Legislature and as an advocate for safe neighborhoods and as someone who brings people together to protect and improve our community.” Hayes continued, “Jim’s track record tells us that he will be a judge who can make the tough decisions, while at the same time being objective and independent.”

Michael Hagan, President of the Westchester County PBA also spoke of Jim’s commitment to public safety. “We are pleased to give our support to Jim Maisano for Supreme Court Justice. Jim has always been a supporter of law enforcement on the County Legislature, his door was always open to us, and we enjoyed working with him as a legislator.” Hagan continued, “He is professional, thoughtful and fair, and we believe that Jim will be an outstanding judge and ask the people of Westchester to join us and vote for him on November 2nd.”

Candidate Jim Maisano expressed his appreciation and thanks for the support of law enforcement. "I am deeply grateful to be endorsed by these law enforcement organizations. These hard-working men and women put their lives on the line on a daily basis to protect our community, and I am very proud and honored to have this vote of confidence and to run with their support.” Maisano continued, “As judge I will bring that same level of commitment and dedication to ensuring that our courts work in a fair and impartial manner for all who come before them.”

Maisano is currently serving as the Minority Leader of the Westchester County Board of Legislators and the legislator representing New Rochelle and Pelham.  Maisano’s public career started with service in the United States Marine Corps, from which he was honorably discharged as a sergeant and received a number of awards and commendations.  He went on to earn his law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, practiced law in New Rochelle and New York City for the past 18 years, and is a member of many professional and civic organizations.  For more information about Jim and his campaign, please visit www.jimmaisano.com.
