On Sunday, October 31st, the NAACP New Rochelle Branch sponsored its 44th Annual Freedom Fund Awards Dinner at Beckwith Pointe. The theme was “One Nation, One Dream”.
The Honorees included Daquana Hargrove (pictured above with NAACP New Rochelle Branch President Ron Williams). Hargrove won the Youth Award. Also honored were Lorraine Johnson, Member of the year Award. Joseph Williams of Webster School, Education AWard. Lt. Mark McLean of the New Rochelle Fire Department, Community Service Award. Jan-Mar Trophy, Business Award. The Keynote speaker was Reverend William M. Mizell, Associate Pastor of Grace Baptist Church.
The Souvenir Journal was dedicated to the memory of the late Mrs. Mattie Wanamaker, Former Chairperson Life Membership Committee.
