New Rochelle Thanksgiving Parade Returns After Two Year Absence

Written By: Robert Cox

Thanksgiving Parade 2010 - 089.jpgThe Chamber of Commerce of New Rochelle’s Thanksgiving Parade brought out thousands of New Rochelle residents to celebrate the unofficial start of the holiday season. Parade Grand Marshall Ray Kiernan led the way. Chamber President Cynthia Lobo and Executive Director Eli Gordon led the Chamber contingent down North Avenue and up Main Street to the reviewing stand at Memorial Plaza. Saving the best for last Santa Claus closed out the parade much to the delight of children along the way.

Did anyone happen to catch a glimpse of the pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian buffoons on the corner of Main and Memorial?

These idiots were bantering back and forth following the parade–like a good couple hours later. I had half a mind to ask them what they thought they were accomplishing. Then I realized I’d only be wasting my breath and with this change in temperature my lungs are still adjusting.

I for one could care less if those people blow each other up. It is a shame that they felt it necessary to protest and curse at what is a site for memorializing our war dead/heroes.

They really should be ashamed. It is disgusting. The whole lot of them were embarrassing.
