Le animamos a que insistan en que estas conversaciones ocurran a medida que las proyecciones de la escuela y el impacto financiero de programas y las decisiones que nos enfrentamos nos afecta a todos. Community Budget Discussions
Should The New Rochelle Board of Education invite the residents of New Rochelle to participate in the budget-planning process for the 2011-12 school year. We encourage you to insist that these conversations occur as they impact school financial and program projections and the decisions we face. Share your views with the Board about student & parent needs, possible program initiatives, and how we might best balance sustaining our schools with budget pressures and the challenge of controlling tax growth. In addition, during the upcoming union negotiations between the school and the teachers union, transparency & honesty must be seen, heard and discussed. It is incumbent upon the school district to invite parents and taxpayers into the discussion phases of this process. There is nothing legal or otherwise that would prevent this from happening. Come and make this request on December 21st at 7PM at the Linda Kelly Auditorium at New Rochelle High School.
