Two downtown retailers have begun preparations for moving out. “Things for Kids”, a children’s furniture store and “The Loop” a sneaker and activewear store on North Avenue, have posted signs indicating that they are leaving.
CVS will be moving into downtown New Rochelle after these two retailers vacate.
In the storefront windows of the “The Loop” passers-by can see that there are “16 days left”. At “Things for Kids” there is a “Huge Moving Sale”.

I hope the baby store sticks around. I was able to furnish 2 children’s rooms with their furniture. They were reasonably priced, product was IN STOCK, they delivered and installed it and we have not had a problem since. That place is a hidden gem for new families. BUY NEW ROCHELLE
So, In driving around this weekend I see that Big Top is closing (read the report on NRTALK) , Hunan Ritz in Wykagyl is closed for unsafe building (what does that really mean), Friendly’s in Eastchester is Closed for good (my son just wanted an ice cream cone)and Dudz Pub on North Ave is gone (what went on in that place)
And in a surprising development half of New Roc City is still closed.
Parking
Nobody is going to pay a meter to shop at cvs so what lot are they going to use?
The one that’s there
The one that’s there and one on north ave
Nobody! LMAO nobody go’s any where in NR, no one go’s to the pizza places, the dollar stores, the smoke shop, the banks, the video store, the coffee shops, etc. HUM who uses the lots now ???
Maybe you wont get in your car to go there, but does every one have a car? And if they do, where do people park when they go to Almarc drug store?. For the amount of time you would be there it might cost you a buck to park, but i think they will also get many walk in customers
