At last! Finals are over at Iona, and everyone is now home relaxing and spreading the Christmas cheer. Every Iona student was more than relieved to be finished with the Fall semester, but for seniors, there was a tinge of sadness as it drew to a close. Katherine Dussel, senior at Iona College, says, “I mean, I’m happy finals are over with, but at the same time I only have one semester left now. It’s kind of bittersweet.” On the other hand, there are some who are more than anxious to graduate. “I’m excited to enter the “real world”, but definitely nervous too,” says Alyssa Mule, also a senior. Winter break will certainly be a much needed rest period before their Spring, and final, semester at Iona College. When another senior was asked if she was to give younger classmates at Iona advice, what it would be, Brittany Fike responded, “It’s important to cherish all the memories you make throughout your college career. Before you know it, you’ll be graduating!” Time flies, but it’s safe to say these Iona seniors are hoping their last semester goes just a little bit slower.
