Unfortunately, what many people in New Rochelle do not realize is that the situation with the website is symptomatic to the district. Now that you have called the district to the carpet in a very public way, the “cosmetic” work to put a “band aid” on the site will happen. Of course, the environment that lead to a website to be “out of date and out of touch” will not be addressed without further scrutiny and embarrassment. For example, Richard Organisciak’s welcome back to school announcement was finally taken down. More than likely this was a response to this post. It was there yesterday. Here are two other examples of the same kid of issue you pointed out:

Bruce, I am sorry you missed the March, 2008 deadline to send your application for full day Kindergarten. Do not worry, as of the last two years, New Rochelle offers universal full day kindergarten in all elementary schools. Barnard is not the only option anymore. On a more serious note, as your children enter the school system, you will continue to peel the layers off the onion and notice more of what you mentioned on your show last night. Once again, do not worry, as a public figure your will be able to “negotiate” your way and “cut deal” to get what you need for your children if you so chose to. It will be easier for you and your family. You also live in the North End, so you “will feel” that you are getting value for your money. The fact is, when our school systems (or any system for that matter) are not managed properly and mediocrity is allowed anywhere in that system, we all lose, both North and South New Rochelle. Interesting enough, it is very similar to how you spoke about the broken government in Albany affects us all and is everybody’s problem. In New Rochelle, the only difference is that families in South End appear to be more cognizant on how they are getting short changed. Dig deeper…
