John Guiacocha, 16, a student at New Rochelle High School was arrested last Saturday night after he and an accomplice were caught in the act of breaking into cars on Beaufort Avenue in New Rochelle. Arrested along with Guiacocha was Jose Barragan, 18. Guiacocha was charged with criminal possession of a credit card. Barragan was charged with grand larceny.
New Rochelle Police Captain Joseph Schaller said the pair were caught breaking into a 1994 Buick. When apprehended by an officer on patrol, the pair were found to have a credit card stolen from a 1999 Acura that had parked, engine running and doors unlocked, in front of a residence. The victim left a wallet in the car.
