New Rochelle Before and After: Pepperday Inn 1913 Echo Ave.

This postcard from 1913 shows the Pepperday Inn and Cottages…located at the corner of Main Street and Echo Ave. Mary Pepperday ran the place.  It was connected to the Beacon across the street (which is still there).. When the Thanhouser Film studios relocated to that area, many of the stars stayed there. It had great food, rooms and dancing. Current photo taken in 2008.
