A 29-year old woman was killed in a machete attack at 309 north avenue late Friday evening it all happen in Apt.12. One of her roommates are being talked to by police and possible charges will be filed against him soon. The victim’s name was not released pending family being notified of her death. Neighbors called police to report screams for help coming from the apt.one neighbor even tried to stop the suspect and was cut himself on the leg. Police will give a news conference on the matter Monday morning.
The Machete Murder is the 3rd homicide in New Rochelle since September 2010. Kevin Williams was stabbed to death in broad daylight. A man living at 311 North Avenue, the building next door to 309 North Avenue, was charged in that killing. Khalil Leak was murdered at 345 Main Street. Richard Leak, the boy’s father was arrested for that killing.
