Iona College men’s basketball head coach Tim Cluess will be a guest of Mike Francesa on WFAN 660 AM with this afternoon (Wednesday, Mar. 2). Cluess is scheduled to call-in at approximately 3:40 pm.

The Gaels finished the regular season with a 20-10 overall record, the 15th 20-win season in school history. The 12th head coach in school history, Cluess became just the second to earn 20 or more wins in his first season at the helm. Tim Welsh finished 21-8 in his rookie campaign in New Rochelle in 1995-96.
The Maroon & Gold earned a 13-5 conference record and a share of second-place in the MAAC standings with Rider. Holding the tiebreaker against the Broncs, Iona is the No. 2 seed in this weekend’s Spark Energy MAAC Championship in Bridgeport, CT. The Gaels face the winner of No. 7 Siena and No. 10 Manhattan on Saturday night at 7:30 pm at Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard. Tip-off is slated at 7:30 pm and can be seen live on MSG+.
