Iona College has issues the following statement:
It is our understanding that Iona College’s former chief financial officer plead guilty today to federal fraud charges. As we have previously stated, the College took all proper actions in this situation when it was discovered almost two years ago and the majority of the missing funds were recovered. New procedures are in place to safeguard against a similar situation.
The court decided today to seek additional information from the individual and to proceed with the sentencing phase at a later date.
