The New Rochelle police were kept busy early Sunday morning when a call came in that a man’s house at 22 villus avenue was broken into by three men with machine guns and the tenant was hiding in the bathroom trying to get out of the window in the bathroom.New Rochelle police took the matter very seriously and set up there special unit in the auto zone parking lot on main street. Police moved into the area in full body gear and surrounded the house. It turns out the gentleman who made the call was at whyman ave. and main street after police called back his phone to check his where abouts. Police questioned the man and he turned out to be visibly intoxicated and he made a false report of the whole incident.Police took the man into custody. This incident took many officers off the street for at least an hour or more and calls were held up due to the lack of officers working some calls were held as much as a hour before they could get officers to the scene.

And how do you know that
And how do you know that there were calls that were held? I am sure if was an emergency call they would not hold a call like that.
know it because i heard it
I listen to a scanner and after the event on villus avenue was over and radio silence was stopped the dispatcher started to give calls out over the air and he said “call has been holding for about an hour”I’m sure if they had other calls for help they would use cell phones or computers in the cars to get officers to other calls. Non emergency calls were held till the matter was over.
