Well, not exactly Broadway, though Rikki Woodlin & Philip Kenner of New Rochelle High School’s PAVE program did appear at 380 Broadway in Access Theater’s play reading series of Fold the Close, by Tabetha Xavier and Directed by Reggie Douglass.
Two New Rochelle High School actors, Philip Kenner and Rikki Woodlin appeared March 31st in Tabetha Xavier’s reading of her new play ‘Fold the Close’ at Access Theater 380 Broadway, NYC.
The actors have a long history of performing together, dating back to their 7th grade year at Albert Leonard Middle School where they starred in the musical The Wiz. In 8th grade they landed starring roles in the musical Aida. Their early success has open doors to new avenues in theater. Both students are enrolled in New Rochelle High School’s PAVE program.
Rikki and Philip’s on stage chemistry was a no brainer for Tabetha Xavier as she cast them as X and Boxy in her new play reading. The evening was a success leaving audiences gasping as both actors immersed in their characters, provided an emotional ride filled with laughter and tears.
