2011.06.03 – Matthew’s Community Calendar Round-Up!

As always, lots of great events and items of import happening all around our town.

First up – the annual New Rochelle Sidewalk Sale is underway. It kicked off a few days ago but continues through tomorrow in the DownTown area of New Rochelle.

Then tomorrow at 10 am, the New Rochelle Public Library plays host to the NRAA as they jury in new members for 2011.

Get up early on Sunday because the Taking Steps to Rebuild Benefit 5K walk-a-thon kicks off at 8 am at Wildcliff Manor. Proceeds of the walk-a-thon will go to help rebuild the Union Baptist Church tragically destroyed in a fire in February.

From two feet to two wheels, a different variety of benefit beings at 9 at New Roc Harley Davidson. The Third Annual Hogs For Hope escorted motorcycle ride will showcase fantastic food, great bands, prizes, raffles and a bouncy house all to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charity. Sign up and ride on Sunday

Later in the evening, the movies screens of New Roc City will simulcast a live performance of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Dudamel conducts the magnificent Fourth Symphony of Brahms live from the Walt Disney Concert Theater in LA.

On Monday June 6th, be sure to tee up for the Blessed Sacrament St. Gabriel’s Golf Outing. Head over to the Split Rock golf course from some action on the lynx with a dinner buffet to follow at Beckwithe Point. For more information & to reserve your spot, Call (914) 632-2595 ext 229

And lastly, our congratulations go out to the New Rochelle Humane Society. This organization will be celebration it’s centennial at Wykagyl Country Club on Thursday June 9th.
