New Rochelle’s Five Islands Park to be dedicated in honor of Joe Curtis

The family and friends of the late Joe Curtis, former Parks and Recreation Commissioner for the City of New Rochelle, will join with the City of New Rochelle for the dedication of Five Islands Park as “Joe Curtis Five Islands Park” on Sunday, June 12, 11 am at Five Islands Park, 1 Lefevre Lane, New Rochelle, NY. Rain or shine.

Curtis served as Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and then Human Services from 1975-1989, and was instrumental in transforming Five Islands Park into the waterfront treasure we enjoy today
