New Rochelle Public Library Free Summer Programs for Infants, Toddlers and Pre-Schoolers

Free summer library programs for children ages six months to 5 years are being offered at the main New Rochelle Public Library and the Huguenot Children’s Library (HCL) beginning Tuesday, July 6 through Friday August 13. All programs are on a drop-in basis, on a first-come, first-served basis, except the Bedtime Stories at HCL. The six-week programs are as follows:

Bouncing Babies, is a Mother Goose program of songs, music, movement and a story for children 6 – 24 months, on Fridays, July 8 – August 12, from 9:45 am – 10:15 am, at the Main Library; and from 11:45 am – 12:15 pm at the Huguenot Children’s Library.

Let’s Pretend, for children ages 3 – 5 years, introduces theater through games, songs, nursery rhymes, and an on-stage experience, with Nora Maher, will be held on Fridays, July 8 – August 12, from 10:30 am – 11:15 am, at the Main Library; and from 12:30 pm – 1:15 pm at the Huguenot Children’s Library.

Preschool Story Time for children ages 3 – 5 years, includes stories, songs, and a take-home craft, and takes place on Tuesdays, July 5 – August 9, from 10:00 – 10:45 am at the main library. Five sessions will be held at the Huguenot Children’s Library, on Mondays, July 11 – August 8, from 10:30 – 11:15 am.

Bedtime Stories, for children ages 3 – 5 years, (pajamas and stuffed animals are encouraged), will be held on five Mondays, July 11 – August 8, from 6:30 – 7:00 pm, at the Main Library. Six sessions will be held at the Huguenot Children’s Library on Wednesdays, July 6 – August 10, from 6:30 – 7:00 pm. (Registration for each session is required, please call 632-8954).
