The Westchester County Department of Health has notified beach and marina operators on a small stretch of Long Island Sound in New Rochelle about a limited sewage spill that was reported this morning. As a precaution, people who use the waters for recreational purposes should avoid direct contact with the water today and tomorrow at the following New Rochelle locations: Wright Island Marina, Castaways Yacht Club, Imperial Yacht Club, Neptune Boat Club, New York Athletic Club, Snug Cove and Huguenot Yacht Club, Beckwith Pointe and Glen Island Park.
