Jose DeFelipe attempted suicide in New Rochelle three hours after police discovered his wife stabbed to death in the Bronx, see below for update.
A man is in very critical condition this afternoon after falling from an upper floor of the New Rochelle Train Station Parking Structure. Police are on the scene. The man appears to have jumped, according to officers on the scene. The police are reviewing surveillance video. The area is roped off with yellow police tape suggesting that until determined otherwise police are treating the area as a crime scene. The seriously injured man was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center. A branch for a tree was broken off and lay near the injured man. Police believe he may have hit the tree on his way down.
UPDATE: The police have left the scene, the incident remains under investigation. Initial reports is that the man is expected to survive.
UPDATE: New Rochelle police have confirmed that Jose DeFelipe, 43, jumped off the roof of the New Rochelle Transportation Center parking garage. New York City police were looking foe DeFelipe in connection with murder of Jacqueline Rosario-Luna-DeFelipe, 37, who was stabbed multiple times in her apartment at 355 E. 187th Street.
