Tanisha Gomez, a woman from East Stroudsburg, PA with an address in Ozone Park, Queens, drove six miles in the wrong direction on I-95 before crashing and killing a man in New Rochelle, NY.
Gomez was allegedly drunk when she drove her 2011 Chevrolet HHR northbound in the southbound lanes of I-95. She was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx where she was arraigned on a charge of second-degree manslaughter, a felony. Gomez made the bail of $50,000.
The victim, a passenger in the car struck by Gomez, Reginald Lee, 29, of East Orange, NJ, was killed. Mark Toppin, 29, the driver of the car, a 2005 Nissan Sentra, sustained injuries including a broken leg.
