Many emails have complained that clicking a link in the “Recent Comments” block does not go directly to that comment. I replaced the way recent comments were displayed so the link now works properly and there is a “more” link to all past comments — headline, link and body of comment.

I live in the Avalon-Sound East, I walk to the train every day and there are more and more mutilated birds and body parts along the side of Avalon Sound-along the where Renue Spa is and the cleaners.  These are not stray birds because they have bands on the legs.  Is there someone I can contact to investigate this-its very disturbing and very unfair to the poor innocent birds.  I would assume its coming from the trashy people that live in the Avalon.  Please help!

If this invoice fraud has been going on for 6 years, the auditors are partially culpable because their annual audits are supposed to find these things with their verification process. The AG should be investigating them too. Study up on the McKesson-Robbins Audit fraud of 50+ years ago dealing with faulty inventory – every accountant knows about this.

Resident of Meadow Lane & Shore Road writes:

Dumpsters near park. Foul smelling, over flowing dumpsters have been placed right next to the park at the corner of Meadow Lane and Pelham Rd. The stench of the dumpsters is over powering in the park. The neighbors there have already been complaining of the odor. It’s a concern that bugs, mice and rats or other types of animals will be attracted to the dumpsters and will end up in the park. There are children in the park and this can be a major problem. The dumpsters belong to the new restaurant across the street, Siete Ocho Siete. They need to remove those dumpsters or place them back in the lot across the street, where they were. It’s just not right to place all those dumpsters near the park and so close to a residential area. The smell is sickening now in this summer heat.
