As always lots of great events going on in New Rochelle this week –
First up, two Friday regulars –
BID is back with Yoga on the Green – professional posers or yoga novices alike are welcomed to the library green for a free yoga class taught by certified yoga instructors. Tonight at 6 pm.
Afterward, head down to Wildcliff Manor for the Indie Jam session that has become a regular event down by the New Rochelle waterfront. Musicians take the stage from 5:30 – 8 pm tonight.
Sunday at Two, head over to the Thomas Paine Cottage at 20 Sicard Ave for a special commemorative event. Help Remember our nation’s fight against segregation with the The Huguenot and New Rochelle’s historical Association. New Rochelle resident octogenarians Sam & Joan Goldstein will provide personal reflections on the struggle.
During the week, don’t miss another installment of the BID Disney Hit Parade Series as a screening of the 1976 classic: The Shaggy DA – that, Monday at 6 pm
And head on back to the library for BID International Music and Dance – The crowd-pleasing Bokandeye Troupe is back to close the 2011 series with everything from djembe drumming to African Dance. The Rich cultural traditions of African villages come alive at the Ossie Davis Theater, Tuesday at 6:45
