As always, there’s a lot going on in New Rochelle this week:
First up, summer’s almost through and soon it’ll be time to fight those winter chills. The New Rochelle Prescription Center is pleased to offer flu shots to all adults 19 and older this season. All recipients of New York State Medicaid or Medicare Part B can receive the vaccine at no cost while they’re in stock. Call 914.636.2225 for more information.
Later tonight at the Radisson Hotel, the Hudson Valley’s LGBT center, The Loft presents this region’s first ever same-sex wedding expo – First 300 registrants will receive a free wedding gift bag starting tonight at 5 pm.
The hurricane has postponed the 1st annual New Rochelle Summer Crafts Boutique. If you were planning on going on Sunday, mark your calendars for September 11th for the rescheduled date. More information available at www.WestchesterYogaArts.com
Then on Sunday – Temple Beth El members Ellen Hollander and Manfred Simon celebrate an exhibit of their paintings with an artist reception starting at noon. The exhibit will run through October 2nd at Beth El.
During the week:
Tuesday August 30th, the Remington Boys and Girls Club will be having ACT and SAT prep courses starting at 10 am
And also on Tuesday, the New Rochelle Board of Education will meet with a committee of the whole session to follow. That starting at 7 PM at City Hall.
