Unity for Youth-2 Cities Unite at the Westchester County Center

TONIGHT January 14th 2012, Westchester County Center. Doors Open at 4pm and the First bout is at 5pm.

The mission with this event is to unite two cities-New Rochelle and White Plains and help put a stop to youth violence!  Both New Rochelle and White Plains are suffering with youth and gang violence.  It is our goal to help show the youth of today alternative ways to redirect their energy and channel it through positive ways with various outreach programs.

How can Main Street Boxing and Fitness help?  Main Street Boxing and Fitness offers a free youth training program twice a week which includes cardiovascular, strength and boxing training, nutritional guidance, empowerment coaching, bully awareness and prevention, as well as homework help and tutoring.  Teaching the importance of nutrition, exercise, and boxing training can enhance self esteem, while modeling to these young adults how to channel negative energy, while serving as an alternative to violence.  Main Street Boxing and Fitness provides members with a family atmosphere because it is not just a gym, it's a state of mind!

As a way to raise awareness for this cause, we are training New Rochelle police and firefighters, along with White Plains firefighters to go in the ring for friendly bouts.  These bouts will be the main event amongst an evening of 16 amateur bouts featuring some of the communities best boxers!  Some of these best amateur boxers having once been gang members.

Special appearance by Jadakiss, performance by FACE Mr. Magnificent, music by DJ Shortkutz, and hosted by Buster from 923 NOW! This is one event you don't want to miss!  Order your tickets today through Ticketmaster 1-800-745-3000 or Ticketmaster.com
