Skimask gun robberOn January 12, 2012 at around 12:30 p.m., three college students on winter break were robbed at gunpoint by five youths on Mayflower Avenue, a half-block away from Holy Family Church.

The three students, New Rochelle residents who attend school outside of New Rochelle, told police they were walking up Mayflower Avenue from North Ave when they were surrounded by five men. One of the five produced a weapon. He aimed a gun at one of the victims as the other four rummaged through the pockets of the other two, taking cash, wallets, phones and iPods.

The five robbers then ran around the corner onto Mount Joy, got into a car and drove South.
