As always, there are lots of events rounding out this leap year month!
First up, tomorrow at 6 pm, meet emerging artists Maya Menon and Aston Lemelle-Thomas as they unveil the artwork they helped create for the New Rochelle Public Library’s Children’s Room.
More art in New Rochelle, 10 am on Saturday [also my birthday], the College of New Rochelle opens “Through the Eyes of the Artist: A Juried Exhibit,” on the Main Campus of The College of New Rochelle.
Later on on Saturday, the Parish House Performing Arts Center will play host to a reading of a play. C.J. Ehrlich and Philip J. Kaplan proudly present The Cupcake Conspiracy at 3 pm.
The Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, February 28th at the Webster Elementary Room. That meeting starts at 7 PM
New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson will head up the podium to deliver the 2012 State of the City address at the Davenport Club. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, the speech is open to the public, however tickets are required for the March 1st dinner that immediately follows.
And also on March 1st, at 7 pm, the College of New Rochelle begins their celebration of Women’s History month with a presentation by Elvira M. Dowell titled “Clinton to Palin to Bachmann: the Past, Present and Future of Women in Politics.”
