B GClub GREAT(New Rochelle, New York) – The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle will open its doors to the community on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 7:30 PM for its 4th annual Be Great event.

This year we honor 3 GREAT facets of our community, Frank & Gail Conroy & family, GREAT FAMILY, Derrick L. James, Director of Choral Music at New Rochelle High School, GREAT EDUCATOR, and Michael Grossberg, owner of the Grape Exchange and the Beer Necessities, GREAT BUSINESS.

“We have an amazing city filled with great citizens in every walk of life. We honor this family, educator and business because they all give so generously of themselves for the benefit our community” says Quay Watkins, Executive Director.

“During this economic crisis, the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle is supporting the entire family now more than ever. While parents are worried about making ends meet and keeping their jobs, they can still rely on the Club to ensure their children are in a safe environment, engaging in fun and enriching program, and not left alone at home,” says Ms. Watkins. “A membership fee of $30 for the entire year provides parents with one thing they can count on: their child can go to the Boys & Girls of New Rochelle every day after school for not a penny more. As a result of your generosity approximately 2,000 children can continue to benefit from the Club. We provide programs that address today’s most pressing youth issues.”

The fundraiser will take place at the Remington Unit Clubhouse located 116 Guion Place in New Rochelle. It will be a spectacular evening of fun, food, entertainment and of course, friends.

“More and more families are turning to the Club as a positive resource for their children. As we all strive to give our own children the very best, each of you can play a vital role helping to transform the lives of children in our community. Be a part of a community that cares about one thing: Making anything and everything possible for them,” says Ms. Watkins.
