EricJennings“Sing Your Heart Out!”, an 8-session class of free vocal lessons for singers ages 55 and older is being offered at the beginning Saturday, March 24 , from 9:30 am – 11:00 am. The library’s Artist-in-Residence Eric Jennings, a popular performer and lecturer in the southern Westchester area, will teach participants the basics of singing in ensembles and chorales.

The sessions will be held March 24, 31, April 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12 and 19 in the library’s Ossie Davis Theater. At the conclusion of the sessions, participants will present a free public concert on June 2 at 1:30 pm.

The ability to read music is helpful, but unnecessary. Space is limited, so interested singers are encouraged to register early by calling the library’s Community Relations Office: (914) 813-3707. This program is made possible by the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library.
