New Rochelle City Yard 108The Department of Public Works will conduct a Public Tour of the existing City Yard, 224 Main Street, New Rochelle on Tuesday, March 6 at 10 am. The one hour tour will review the existing bureaus and operations.

The entrance to the City Yard is across from Stephenson Blvd. There is no parking on site- however street parking is available in the vicinity. All participants should meet at the gate at 10am and will be asked to sign a liability waiver in order to take the tour.

Please dress appropriately: the City Yard is an active workplace. The tour will take place rain or shine.

NOTE: The City would prefer that people RSVP by calling the DPW at 914-654-2131 but it is not required. In testing this number last week we ended up bouncing around in their voicemail system. So, if you really want to RSVP make sure to call around 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. to have the best change of a live operator picking up the phone.

  1. Purposeful Neglect
This is the standard operating procedure of the city. Like the Armory, the church on North avenue, the houses at Ward acres, and the house that once stood on the Davenport Park property, to name a few, the city yard has been neglected for many years now. This is done on purpose so that the only option left is to tear it down. The city administrators should be held accountable for their purposeful neglect of public tax supported property.

  2. Fevange Reality Tour
Will we be able to see where Fevange handled all the corrupt purchases. How about the Vendor list and all those who he bought corrupt from can we look at the records?
This is like the Corruption Reality tour.
