Representatives of the Save Our Armory Committee will address the New Rochelle City Council tonight, Tuesday March 13, during the Citizens to Be Heard segment of the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting. Meeting time is 7:30 P.M.

Committee co-chairs Peter Parente and Former Assemblyman Ron Tocci will be addressing the city council on the SOA’s plan for a sustainable adaptive re-use of the New Rochelle Armory. Calling for a return of the Armory to local control and allow local interests to develop and market the property will be the topic. As Mr. Tocci sums it up, “We believe that by utilizing the Armory to engage the community through the Arts, and services for our seniors, children and veterans alike, the value to our city will be self evident…”. Mr. Parente adds “Through outreach and in speaking with the community we have been fortunate to have a very broad based and diverse number of great citizens join in support of our goals. It’s very positive”

Supporters are encouraged to attend and show their support as the proponents describe their plan for the future of the Armory.

The Save Our Armory Committee is a volunteer, not for profit organization dedicated to the adaptive re-use of the New Rochelle Armory for the benefit of the citizens of New Rochelle
