Cat got your tongue?
As of my writing this there have been 334 “reads” of this helpful blog entry by “eyeonnewroc”…and only one comment has been posted – this sickens me.
WHERE ARE THE LEADRES OF THIS CITY NOW?
Has anyone received an e-mail alert or notification that there was a HOME INVASION in our community? I didnt. I get plenty of emails for fundraisers, and inaugural speeches, but not a warning of potentially life threatening criminals on the loose in our backyard.
PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY SHOULD BE LIVID TO KNOW THAT SUCH SAVAGES LIVE AMONG US.
Is this what we now accept as the new normal? If so why? This is the inevitable result of giving things away for “free”…people begin to feel that they are entitled to whatever they want and have no concept of “what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is yours”.
Now, too many people feel that they are entitled to simply take what does not belong to them. This is the unavoidable result of an “entitlement” society. this has nothing to do with race, color or economic levels…it has everything to do with an unhealthy sense of entinlement!
Greed and degeneracy are color blind and equally affect all people that want to get something without putting in the work and effort to earn it.
If nobody has the heart to say it I will…New Rochelle is a city in decay! if you want to see our future simply look a town over at Mount Vernon – the violent crime capital of Westchester.
This is not an insult to Mount Vernon, my company’s corporate office is located in the Fleetwood section and many great people call mt vernon home.
Unfortunately, I must say I don’t want the people of New Rochelle having to deal with the same ammount of violence Mt vernon is subjected to.
Thank God for our police department, they’ve done a tremendous job in their ongoing attempt to preventrespond to criminal activity…murders, robberies, shootings etc…
Now here in new rochelle we are nearly “leaderless” and it is up to us —the residents to solve the problems that threaten us—we are left to pick up the pieces of our formerly glorious city that once represented the very best that Westchester had to offer. Once upon a time prosperity and hard work was the center of this city.
Unfortunately it is been replaced with “takers” and those who by choice have “needs” that our government requires the rest of us to fulfill.
Why do we glorify those in need by choice, but then vilify those who have achieved through sacrifice, hard work, contribution and ambition?
The wealth of the world belongs to those who make it not to those who take it.
What YOU earn belongs to YOU!! not your government and definately not to the savages who want to take it by force through home invasions and violence.
My advice is simple…protect yourself, your property and more importantly protect the ones you love!! Hope fot the best, but prepare for the worst.

Kurt is a True Sentinel for the Apathetic or Unwary
Kurt, appreciate your ardor and sense. We are morphing into a community that takes reckless acts of lawlessness for granted unless the miscreants enter elite territory. Even here, some residents are slowly shaking off apathy and seeing the situation for what it is and where it is heading.
A lot has to do with an absence of zero tolerance, rationalization of social engineering, denial of clear data… city crime rise compared to decade old crime data, lack of support and budget for first responders who are let go before planners, assistant managers, chiefs, cooks, bottlewashers.
Even the police responses are either outmoded or likely “directed” from the administration. The park and walk strategy is easily combatted by criminals who literally observe and time this strategy. A failure to characterize the relatively new form of robbery — the automobile stop, take, and go, are not factored correctly, cameras are fine, but after the fact.
cut to the chase. Kurt would likely share the view that good people are everywhere, all demographics, all politic persuasions, color, geographical zones. they understand the first law within a family and society is protection, safety and security.
that must be our first city prority and it begins with showing the colors, uniforms, flags, signage downtown, the next is 21st century patrolling patterns, and most important, more first responders with powers to apprehend, suppport by the community.
community is looking for safety in the wrong direction and thanks kurt and john, well said in a few words.
