(White Plains, NY) — Families can learn how to have fun at Westchester County Parks during the Annual 100.7 WHUD Kids Fair, Saturday, April 21, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.
Hundreds of families with toddlers through teens will enjoy a day of educational displays, games and interactive exhibits, along with a live radio broadcast.
Westchester County Parks will be featured on the stage offering a sampling of programs and a glimpse at parks and services from the animals of Muscoot Farm in Somers to what can be discovered by hiking along many trails through the more than 18,000 acres of county parkland.
Families can also discover many of the activities that are planned during Parks’ 50th Anniversary Season being celebrated throughout the year.
Kids can exercise at the Be Fit-Mobile with hula hoops, jump ropes and other fun activities to keep fit. Information on the award-winning Children’s Summer Ecology camps, the Westchester Summer Music Center, the Slam Dunk Basketball and the Girls Volleyball camps, as well as the Hole-in-One Junior Golf Camp will be available.
Finally, residents can purchase a County Park Pass allowing them access to parks, pools, beaches and other facilities, and providing discounts in user and parking fees. Playland season passes will also be available for purchase and birthday parties can be booked.
Admission is $5 for children and $8 for adults.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the H.O.P.E. for Youth Foundation and Children’s Charities in the Hudson Valley.
The 100.7 WHUD Kids Fair is presented by the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, and Westchester County Parks with support from Westchester Subaru, Con Edison, News 12 Westchester, Westchester Family Magazine and Westchester Parent Magazine.
