This July 4th, cap off your holiday evening with a viewing of the grand fireworks display at the New Rochelle waterfront. Produced and sponsored by the famous Grucci family, the City of New Rochelle’s annual “Spark the Sound” extravaganza will start at 9:30 p.m., rain or shine. Optimum viewing locations include Hudson and Five Islands Parks and waterfront restaurants.

“In keeping with the traditional recognition of our Nation’s independence, we are pleased to present our annual “July 4th – Spark the Sound Fireworks” display this summer,” said Parks and Recreation Commissioner Bill Zimmermann. “This event would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, especially the S.E.L.F. Help Foundation.”

The fireworks display kicks off a month of activities in celebration of July as “Parks and Recreation Month”. From the opening of beaches on June 23 and summer camps on June 25, to events such as the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade on July 28, Wednesday night Summer Concert Series at Hudson Park, Thursday night Jazz on Library Green, and New Rochelle Jazz festival on July 14 and 15, the weeks are brimming with events and activities for all ages and interests.
