Shirley Rock Starke, a resident of New Rochelle departed this life June 7, 2012. Born September 19, 1925 to Harry and Jane Rock in Amityville, NY where she received her basic education and then a Nursing Degree equiping her to be employed as an Operating Room Nurse. Surviving are three sons, George L. Starke of Washington, DC; William and Jon Stark of New Rochelle, NY; several grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Harry Rock; a sister, Carol Watson and others. Predeceased by a son, Jeffery Starke. Family to receive friends Saturday, June16, 2012, 10-11am First Baptist Church, 407 New Rochelle Road, Bronxville, NY. Funeral 11am at the church.
