Sound Shore Medical Center Receives Donation from Rotary

SoundShoreRotaryNEW ROCHELLE, NY — Sound Shore Medical Center (SSMC) is pleased to announce a recent donation for its Cappelli Diabetes Center from the Rotary Club of New Rochelle.

Sound Shore Medical Center and the Rotary Club of New Rochelle have a long-established partnership. For more than 40 years, these civic-minded organizations have supported each other’s efforts on behalf of the citizens of the community they serve. Therefore, the Rotary’s recent $2,000 donation to the Cappelli Diabetes Center at SSMC is yet another demonstration of their ongoing relationship. The funds are earmarked for Sound Shore Medical Center’s award-winning Outpatient Diabetes Education program and will help in the ongoing efforts to education individuals about this chronic disease.

Commenting on the ongoing generosity of the Rotary Club of New Rochelle, President and CEO of SSMC, John R. Spicer said, “Sound Shore Medical Center is proud of its history of helping improve the quality of life of individuals living and working in our community. The Rotary’s civic-mindedness will help with our mission.” He concluded, “We are grateful for their support with our diabetes education efforts.”
