Salesian High School Honors Senior Who Died Months Before Graduation

Salesian High School in New Rochelle, NY honored Andy Seliz, a senior who died unexpectedly just months before graduation. The statute of Jesus on the Cross was unveiled as part of graduation ceremonies which were held at Holy Name Church.

Feliz was known as a devout Catholic. He was the organizer of spiritual retreat scheduled for days before his passing. Feliz’s death was the second tragic death of a Salesian student in two years. In 2009, Nicholas Nespolini, then a junior at Salesian, died in his sleep at his home in the Bronx.
