Library Hosts Special “Dream Big!” Programs

Animal Embassy 8 1 12NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Public Library’s “Dream Big!” theater programs for Wednesday, August 1st will feature programs for films for the younger children at 10:30 am, and a live show for children ages 5 and older at 2:00 pm.

Curious George – “Sweet Dreams will be shown in the Ossie Davis Theater Films, beginning at 10:30 am. This compilation of films stars the beloved children’s character Curious George through over 90-minutes worth of adventures. The eight episodes include “Night of the Wiener Dog”, “Movie House Monkey”, Say Goodnight, George”, “Hundley’s Great Escape”, “The Big Sleepy”, “Red Sky at Night”, “Monkey’s Delight”, “Curious George and the Invisible Sound”, and “Water to Ducks”. The movies are rated G and are appropriate for ages 2 – 5 years.

At 2:00 pm, children ages 5 years and older are invited to “Night-Time in the Animal Kingdom”, as Animal Embassy take participants on a night-time journey through the fascinating night life of the animals! The captivating program will help children understand the differences between “nocturnal,” “crepuscular” and “diurnal” animals by providing exciting, live examples of each. What do these amazing creatures do while we are tucked tightly in our beds dreaming? The program will explore the night-time activities and adaptations with live Animal Ambassadors such as a Red-eyed tree frog, a Hedgehog, a Sugar glider, Ball pythons, a Rabbit or a Ferret, a Spotted salamander, a Tokay or Crested gecko, and more!
