Joan Ann DeNicola, a life long resident of New Rochelle, NY, passed away on Thursday Aug. 9, 2012 at the age of 73.
She was born on January 1, 1939, “First New Year’s Baby of New Rochelle, 1939” to Oderick and Rose (Rella) Feola.
Joan married John A. DeNicola Sr. on April 12, 1959 at St. Gabriel’s Church in New Rochelle, NY.
She was a Hairdresser, a Real Estate Agent and a Teachers Aide at Jefferson Elementary School.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, John A. DeNicola Sr., loving children, John A. “Dino” (Melissa) DeNicola Jr. and daughter, Janine (Jeff) Gresham, cherished grandchildren, Dakota DeNicola, Thomas and Alexandra Gresham. She is also survived by her devoted sisters, Louise (James) Colangelo, Barbara (Mike) Caruso, Lorraine (Mick) Bombace and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A wake was held Saturday August 11 and Sunday Aug. 12, 2012at Lloyd Maxcy and Sons Beachamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle, NY 10805(914) 632-2700
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday Aug. 13, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Holy Name Church, 75 Lispenard Ave., New Rochelle, NY.
Interment was at Beechwoods Cemetery, New Rochelle, NY.
